Hi, I’m Martina, a CORU registered physiotherapist and qualified Pilates instructor. I have 12 years experience working in private practice, previously working as part of a multi disciplinary team for 4 years. Throughout my career, I’ve helped people with a wide range of issues, gaining valuable experience and insights that shape the way I approach client’s needs.
In the past two years, I have focused my time equally between helping those navigate through their pain experience whilst also teaching Pilates classes. I believe that exercise is one of the most important factors in a healthy life and Pilates ticks all the boxes for that, promoting movement in a safe environment and instilling a calm throughout the body.
I have been involved in sports for a number of years both as a player and pitch-side physiotherapist. As a player, I had the privilege to be involved with Cork Ladies Football for a number years, from 2013 to 2022, where I was lucky enough to be playing alongside the best players in the sport and to be part of a very successful team.
I have worked with a number of GAA clubs, working as part of the backroom team to manage injuries. The most recent club I have worked with is my local club Ballinascarthy GAA. It is a privilege to help people, whether on the sidelines of a GAA match, or in a Pilates class, and to be part of their journey towards better health and wellbeing.
